Deadly Women: Sharee Miller True Story

Facts in the case of Sharee Miller and the murder of her Husband Bruce Miller
by Traciy Curry-Reyes

Jerry Cassaday and Sharee Miller began a romance online. After several email exchanges they decided to meet in Reno, Nevada. In Reno, Jerry and Sharee spent a wild weekend together. At the time she is 27 years old and married. Sharee told Jerry many lies about her husband Bruce Miller. Jerry falls for her lies, and he falls madly in love with her. Jerry was very vulnerable at the time he began the internet affair with Sharee Miller. He had recently lost his job, and he had gone through a divorce amongst other problems,  so when he met Sharee, she was everything he ever wanted. After the fling in Reno, Sharee returned home and continued her conversations online with Jerry for the next several months. The relationship started very quickly and progressed rapidly. By 1999 Jerry had fallen completely in love with Sharee over the internet. Once she knew that she had Jerry under her spell, she started manipulating him even more by telling him that she was pregnant with twins, and that he was the father of the babies. She took fake photos of her belly and sent them to Jerry. Jerry was so excited to be the father of Sharee's babies. He was ready to spend the rest of his life with her. He had no idea that she was lying to him not only about the pregnancy , but about everything else too. Sharee then took more fake photos of her badly beaten body. She insisted that it was her husband, Bruce, who had beaten her, and that he had beaten her so that she would lose the twins. When Jerry received the photos of her bruised belly, he became so enraged, that he told her that he was coming there to kill her husband. So together they plotted out every detail of how they would commit the murder. According to Genesee County Police Detectives, Sharee gave him all the details that he needed in order to carry out the murder. He knew where to find Bruce Miller and where to find the money that he kept in his wallet.  When Jerry arrived at the location,  he approached Bruce Miller and shot him in the chest. He then stole his wallet to make it look like a robbery. There were never any suspects in the murder and the case went cold for quite a while. After the murder, Jerry was ready to be with Sharee. Sharee kept putting him off and making excuses as to why they could not be together as of yet. Jerry then decided to go to Sharee's home. When he arrived at her home he found her with another man. He was devastated. He realized that he had been used by Sharee. So he decided to take revenge, by writing an eight page confession of how he and Sharee together plotted the murder of Bruce Miller. After he wrote the confession he placed it in a brief case, and then put a gun to his mouth and committed suicide. Sharee Miller was arrested and placed into custody in 2000. In 2001, Sharee was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder and sentenced to life in prison.
